are Residential Placement Services?
Residential
Placement Services is a program within Bay Arenac Behavioral Health that assists consumers in
securing a residential placement that will provide
for their identified needs, but also allow the consumer
choices and opportunities within their living situation.
The consumer, family, and guardians are involved
to the fullest extent possible in the placement
process.
Who
can benefit from Residential Placement Services?
Anyone
who is a resident of Bay or Arenac County and has
been diagnosed with a mental health condition, who
also needs out-of-home placement, may benefit from
this service.
How
can Residential Placement Services help an individual?
Bay Arenac Behavioral Health has a wide variety of residential
options available for persons with mental illness
or developmental disabilities. These services include
Supported housing, Semi-Independent Apartment Program,
General Foster Care Homes and Specialized Living
Facilities. Residential Services Staff assist in
identifying appropriate placements based on the
referral information provided, and work with the
consumer, their family, and staff until the placement
is completed.
