The Access Center is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Persons calling the Access Center will be asked a series of questions. The phone interview will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Some of the information you will be asked to provide includes the following:
- Name, address, phone number, Social Security Number
- Health insurance information (have your insurance card ready)
- Reason for requesting services
- Current problem or concern - be as detailed and specific as possible
- Past treatment history
Based on the information provided, Access staff will first determine whether the person qualifies for service. If a person qualifies, they are immediately referred to the appropriate program based on their needs. Typically, the person is provided a first appointment date and time prior to ending the call. All persons requesting service are seen for their first appointment within 14 days. Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health does not run waiting lists for its primary services.
