Emergency Services - Crisis Intervention
Emergency Services are available at no cost to anyone in the community 24 hours per day/7 days per week. A person does not have to be receiving mental health services to use emergency services. Services are available either by phone or by walk in. No appointments are needed.
Emergency Services staff are professional mental health staff with special training to help individuals resolve personal crises. Emergency Services staff also provide pre-admission screening to determine whether psychiatric hospitalization in an in-patient setting is needed. Families and/or professionals who are unsure about how to handle a situation are welcome to call the Emergency Services staff to consult with them about how to handle a specific situation or problem.
