Access Alliance of Michigan (AAM)

(A division of Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health Authority)

AAM is an affiliation of regional community mental health and substance use disorder providers joined together to give excellent quality care. The agencies making up AAM are: Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health, Huron Behavioral Health, The Montcalm Center for Behavioral Health, Shiawassee County Community Mental Health, and Tuscola Behavioral Health Systems.

As a managed care organization AAM is responsible for:

  •  management of access to care
  • authorization or monitoring of consumer care consumption or use
  • ensuring adequate provider resources to respond effectively to consumer needs, and
  • for payment of provider claims
