Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health Authority ... manages behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Arenac, Bay, Huron, Montcalm, Shiawassee and Tuscola counties, fielding about 2,000 calls a month (2007). BABH contracts with local Community Mental Health agencies and substance use disorder providers to secure the services needed in each county. Two divisions of BABH manage this activity: Access Alliance of Michigan for behavioral health, and Riverhaven Coordinating Agency for substance use disorders.
Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health is also the community/public mental health services provider for Bay and Arenac counties. In 2007 in those two counties, 4,800 people sought behavioral health care services.
BABH is a governmental Michigan Community Mental Health Authority.

Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health is a governmental agency and has four divisions:
- Riverhaven A substance use disorder coordinating agency for Arenac, Bay, Huron, Montcalm, Tuscola, and Shiawassee counties
- Access Alliance of Michigan (AAM) A Pre-Paid Inpatient Health Plan for Medicaid Specialty Behavioral Health Services (for Arenac, Bay, Huron, Montcalm, Tuscola, and Shiawassee counties)
- Information Systems Alliance An Information Technology vendor (for the six counties in the Alliance and Wayne county) and
- Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health Operations and Programs A community mental health and substance use disorder program and service provider for Bay and Arenac counties
