What is Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health (BABH)?
Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health is the community mental health agency for Bay and Arenac counties, providing an array of community behavioral health and substance use disorder programs and services. BABH is a governmental Michigan Community Mental Health Authority.
BABH is a community mental health provider. Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health is a member of the Mid-State Health Network: Mid-State Health Network is a Pre-Paid Inpatient Health Plan for Medicaid Specialty Behavioral Health Services
Riverhaven, a division of Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health, is a substance use disorder Sub-Regional Entity for Arenac, Bay, Huron, Montcalm, Tuscola, Shiawassee, Clare, Gladwin, Isabella, Mecosta, Midland, and Osceola.
Who We Serve
We are authorized by Michigan Mental Health and Public Health Code to serve certain sectors in providing behavioral health services and supports to people with:
• developmental disabilities
• serious and persistent mental illness
• children with serious emotional disturbance, and
• substance use disorder needs
Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health provides services to people who are enrolled in the Medicaid program or meet the priority population definitions in State law. Many of these persons also have no other health insurance and are financially impoverished. Services are provided without regard to race, color, nationality, religion, political beliefs, gender, age, health status, disability, or ability to pay as defined in Michigan's state law or regulations.
Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health also provides Emergency Services to anyone in the community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are having a personal crisis or psychiatric emergency call: 1-800-327-4693.

Bay-Arenac Behavioral Health clinics are located in Bay City at 201 Mulholland and 1010 N. Madison; and in Standish at 1000 W. Cedar. The BABH Board administrative office is located at 201 Mulholland in Bay City. Office hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
